I'm a research fellow at the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre in Control, Monitoring and Systems Engineering, at the University of Sheffield.
I lead the Systems and Architectures work theme, building health monitoring systems that run the full stack — embedded SoC devices, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the machine learning that turns raw signals into decisions. The same toolkit has taken me from gas turbines to joint-replacement surgery to underground pipe networks — and occasionally somewhere stranger, like ray tracing on neuromorphic hardware.
